An excimer pulsed light device using a single 308 nm UVB wavelength to deliver light selectively to the lesion that requires treatment. Unlike whole-body ultraviolet therapy, this device allows the treatment field to be set around the specific area of skin being treated. This limits unnecessary UV exposure of the surrounding healthy skin while concentrating on small or localized lesions. A handheld applicator makes it convenient to use on curved and detailed areas.
